I love tamales, but rarely get to indulge because of the meat thing. I actually found vegetarian tamales at Aldi's, but they were super greasy and I can't remember for sure, but maybe had trans fat or something.

These look particularly good.

I have had vegeterian tamales once when I was in Berkeley in 2000, at the time I found it a little tasteless, but now I would like to try them again as peoples tastes change with time. The only problem is masa harina is only available in specialist stores which as you would expect are so expensive, so I will wait when I feel a litle flush, and really really want a Mexican meal.

I know where to go if I want a step by step guide in asembling. Thanks : )
