This is a lovely simple recipe that I think you'll grow to be quite fond of once you try it. It's easy to make vegan--just switch out the milk and butter to a non-dairy version. It's not exactly like an apple cobbler because the topping is more moist and cake-like. If you don't have golden syrup, I would just add some brown sugar to taste. This would be lovely served with ice cream--regular or vegan. You could also serve it with some whipped cream.
