I saw a recipe in Bon Appetit for Butterfinger Truffles that sounded interesting, and at just about the same time Jill found a coconut truffle recipe she wanted to make. So, we decided to blog the truffles together. My truffles were good but I made the mistake of using 62% chocolate which was just too much--the flavor of the Butterfingers was masked by the dark chocolate. If I make these again I'll use just regular semi-sweet chocolate chips. These are really easy to make and the mixture firms up enough so that they're easy to form. I left the nuts off of the top just because I didn't have any at home. I think they'd add a nice additional flavor. If you're interested in the truffles you can find the recipe here. These sound really good! I wouldn't put nuts on top - Butterfingers good on their own. Thanks for making truffles with me!
