TWD: Baking with Julia -- French Apple Tart (vegan friendly)

This apple tart was time consuming to make, but it was worth the effort. I love that the filling is a smooth contrast to the apple slices. I also like that it's not overly sweet. I am an extremely impatient person so though I did try to arrange the apple slices in a beautiful pattern, they are still a bit haphazard looking. I added a lot of cinnamon to the filling because we are cinnamon people and buy the industrial size bottle from Costco.

**This can easily be made vegan by using margarine instead of butter.

Please visit out host at Laws of the Kitchen to see her very beautiful tart and to get the recipe if you're interested.
