Vegan/Vegetarian Holiday Ideas

Dave loves a traditional Thanksgiving meal so that's what I made, minus the meat. We had:
Carrots and peas with pearl onions
Gravy
Mashed potatoes
Roasted butternut squash
Rutabagas
Sourdough stuffing with mushrooms, onions and celery
and Green Bean casserole

Yum!

We weren't in the mood for dessert, but if I had decided to make one it would have been fresh cranberry compote with soy ice cream, vegan pumpkin pie, apple tart, or 5-minute pumpkin mousse (vegetarian).

Christmas dinner will probably be Italian food as that's what I grew up with. I'm thinking baked pasta, garlic bread, salad, and dessert.

If you need any help at all coming up with a vegan/vegan holiday menu, or need ideas on how to veganize a recipe, please feel free to e-mail me.

  1. Nice! Even when there's turkey at the table, I think people really enjoy the other dishes - that's usually the more exciting part of the meal.
