Rustic Grape Tart

I've always thought that cooked grapes were kind of icky. I love fresh grapes, especially cold out of the fridge, but hot and mushy... not so much. But I have to say that this recipe proves me wrong. I love this tart. The crust is tender, but also substantial enough to hold all the grapes. And the grapes themselves taste like cherry pie filling for some weird reason. But maybe that's just me. Dave and I gobbled down this tart as if we hadn't had food in weeks. It was really that good.

The crust has cornmeal in it which for me, made it difficult to work with. But I found that even if it falls apart, it patches back together easily.

This is a perfect summer dessert and you can find the recipe here.

  1. Isn't it cool to discover that you like something you didn't expect to? I probably wouldn't have made this, but now I'm intrigued.
