Road Trip to the California Gold Country

Dave and I did a weekend road trip all through the Gold Country. It was amazing to see so many 150-year-old remnants of the gold rush. (We saw lots of other things as well!) Here are some of the photos...

------------>A closed down nuclear plant. You can almost drive right up to it.

We didn't have any really memorable food, but I did find this pig-shaped bun.

  3. You seem like somebody who would enjoy Sweet Betsy from Pike, a historical novel of the California gold rush, by Sam Sackett.
