I've been wanting to try making pottery for ages, and I just happened to spot this awesome pottery wheel on craigslist for a really cheap price. I already do oil painting, but I think it will be fun to make my own dishes and planters. I am still looking around for a community kiln, but if I can't find one near here I can always go to Berkeley.
The cats were completely unimpressed by the pottery wheel, but they sure love the box it came it! Pinto, especially, is the queen of cardboard boxes.

ReplyDeleteHow exciting!! My husband and I were just talking the other day about how cool it would be to be able to make our own dishes like that. His sister has a pottery wheel, so we were thinking of asking her if we could use it. You will have to share what you make..that's for sure. Is that one of your pictures that you painted? I love it!

I've always wanted to throw pots, too, Michele. Good for you for following through! And is there anything more fun than a couple of kitties and an empty box? (OK, maybe throw in a feather on a string!) They are so cute.
