I just realized that I never shared what I bought Dave for Father's Day--a really neat indoor grill-veggie dog cooker-kabob maker-griddle, all in one! Dave does not cook. At all. About the best he can do is a frozen pizza. His non-cooking ability is fine with me since I love to cook and I tend to lord over the kitchen.
This grill is so perfect for him. He can make veggie dogs, burgers, pancakes, etc., without having to drag out pots and pans. Plus I can use it to grill tofu and make kabobs and things. It works perfectly and makes fantastic tofu "fingers"--one of my favorite snacks.
We grill a lot outdoors in summer, but this indoor grill is perfect for winter and rainy days. It's also a good supplement to our charcoal grill since we can fill that up with corn and potatoes, and cook the burgers on this. We've used it quite a few times already and I love it.
Here is the link to the grill if you're interested. If you're not familiar with CSN stores, they sell everything, from the basics to the unusual. They have a huge selection of Le Creuset, and a gigantic cookware selection in general.
The kind folks at CSN are giving me a gift certificate to use towards the purchase of an item of my choosing that I'll later review here. I've been going back and forth trying to decide what to order since there are so many things that I covet. I finally narrowed it down to a waffle maker and a cat tree. I am embarrassed to admit that I've never owned a waffle maker and have never made a homemade waffle in my life. But, as much as I love waffles, the cat tree won out; I can't pass up an opportunity to treat the critters to something they'll love. (Yes, our animals are pretty spoiled.) And, after all, Eggo Waffles are kinda' good.
So... stay tuned for the cat tree review (and some cute cat photos to boot!).
