Fresh Chickpeas!

I've wanted to try fresh chickpeas for ages, but never could track them down. Finally, I found some at a local market. Score!

I peeled the chickpeas and sauteed them in a little olive oil, just for a few minutes, and seasoned them with a sprinkle of sea salt. They were SO good. They tasted like fresh green peas but had more substance. Yum!
