May

I didn't mean to disappear for the last few weeks...

Now that the weather is warmer I'm catching up on all the things I didn't get to do during the winter.

So, here's a small re-cap of April, and some gratuitous cutie cat photos.

The cats are loving the sun as well. Mango works on her tan.

PomPom shows off the new 7-foot tall cat tree.

Helping pick out recipes...

Pinto on the top level of the tree.

A few weekends ago we stayed at a hotel just to take a break from the gloomy and depressing cold weather. I loved the heated swimming pool, while Dave took great advantage of the all-you-can-eat breakfast. This was his third trip of the morning.

All of the rain has turned our yard into a jungle. I've spent hours and hours trimming and pulling weeds and still have much work to do. I love being outside though.

The roses are blooming like crazy.

My bike is ready for summer!

I finally finished my mammoth spring cleaning. One of my accomplishments is that I put all my 1000+ books in proper bookcases. They had been scattered throughout every room of the house and I could never find the book I was looking for. Now, they are all together and easy to look through. A consequence of my organizing is that I am reading like a fiend lately-- 3 or 4 books a week.

I have at least 20 yummy recipes to share, since though I've not been posting, I have been cooking and baking. I'll get back to regular blogging and reading blogs this week.

I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

  4. Nice photo summary of the month. Pom Pom is so big! Your yard is pretty. I like the big aloe plant (or the plant that looks like an aloe).

I had a little trouble commenting, so if you have two from me, that's why.

  5. Hi Michele! I missed you. :) YOUR yard is beautiful - and a pool to boot! The roses are gorgeous and your cats are too cute. What a lovely home you have. Now that you've organized your books, would you mind coming over to help me with mine? (I'll bake something good!)
