There is not much I can say about the tiramisu this month since I didn't even have the chance to taste it. I made all of the components except the mascarpone, (I couldn't find any cream that wasn't ultra-pasteurized), assembled the tiramisu in a trifle bowl, chilled it, and just as I was taking it to the table to serve, I dropped it. Splat--broken glass and tiramisu all over the floor. Dave braved a spoonful from the bottom of the bowl that seemed glass-free, and he said it was delicious.
Thank you to Deeba and Aparna for hosting the challenge this month--tiramisu is a fun dessert to make.

Oh no!!! I would have cried.
ReplyDeleteThat said, the photo with the broken glass is lovely, and you wouldn't have gotten that pic on purpose! :)
Oh that is so sad!! I hate when that happens! Peace, Stephanie
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhnooooo! What a waste of a good dessert. That is a bummer. I'm sure it was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteOh no!
ReplyDeleteI think I would have sworn first. And then cried.
But (aside from the broken glass) it does look good!
It still looks delicious, and Dave was very brave and nice to take a taste. What a disaster though; I'm sorry to hear that your hard baking work just turned into cleanup work.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's really sad. :( Maybe next time? ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet comments!
ReplyDeleteI was upset that I dropped it but now I have an excuse to make it again!!
We need to get you a new Trifle Bowl!
