Rosettes -- a once in a great while treat

Rosettes are paper-thin cookies that are made with a very thin batter using a special iron and then deep fried. They are usually served around the holidays. I rarely make them, but every once in awhile dave puts in a special request for "those puffy-crispy-airy cookies". They are actually really easy to make though deep-frying is involved.

Here's the recipe from Christmas-Cookies.com. http://www.christmas-cookies.com/recipes/recipe18.rosettes.html

Yikes! Christmas cookies already...

  4. Thanks! They are really good and just so amazingly thin. Dave pretty much inhales them.

  8. I've always wanted to make these, Michele. Now I'm inspired to go out and get one of those irons. Gosh, can it really be time to start baking Christmas cookies?!
