One of the neatest things about living in Northern California is that you have the ability to spend the weekend in the Sierra Mountains, and at the Pacific Ocean beaches. A couple weekends ago we took a road trip. One day we spent in the Sierras, at Yosemite, and at Mono Lake. The next day we went to Half Moon Bay and Pescadero.
