mimiccreme--Vegan Heavy Cream Substitute

I found the neatest, new, vegan-friendly product. It's called mimiccreme, and it's a substitute for heavy cream. It's made from nuts. It is not exactly white, more of a very pale beige color, and it has a very subtle nut taste, but, I love using it instead of heavy cream. No animal fat and just a fraction of the calories. I have not tried to whip it yet, but even if it is not whippable, I still love it.

Amazon sells it for a really good price. http://www.amazon.com/MimicCreme-Substitute-Unsweetened-32-Ounce-Aseptic/dp/B001PNY9NK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1253824996&sr=8-1

  1. Thanks for sharing. I've tried making some soy nog ice cream last year and i use a soy creamer I got from my local store that wasn't that good. I'm going to order it for the holiday season. My little niece is allergic to dairy product.

  4. Michele, thanks for recommending this! I just ordered some (love amazon grocery!) -- I love that this is shelf stable, sounds like a great pantry addition. The subtle nut taste sounds great, I can't wait to try this :)
