TWD Brownie Buttons and SMS Snickerdoodles

This week's Tuesday with Dorie recipe was Brownie Buttons, tiny little mini brownies--perfect for kids and snacking. They are very cute and fun to make. The original recipe calls for decorating the buttons with melted white chocolate. I decided to bypass the white chocolate in favor of pink sprinkles--I love pink food.

You can find the recipe for the Brownie Buttons at the cute blog, Two Scientists Experimenting in the Kitchen.

I love snickerdoodles. I'm not sure if it's because my Grandma W. used to make them for me, because they have lots of cinnamon and no chocolate, or because they have such a funny name. Regardless, I love them. I was very excited when I found out that we were baking snickerdoodles for Sweet Melissa this week.

This is a really good snickerdoodle recipe and it makes a big batch. The cookies come out a bit crispy at the edges, and chewy in the middle. Perfect. I made the cookies late at night and I left Dave a note to take some with him when he left for work. Dave must love snickerdoodles as well because he took all the cookies except one, the one with a bite out of it. (I took a bite out of it when the cookies came out of the oven but they were too hot to eat.) I guess I should be grateful that he bothered to leave that one behind.

You can find the snickerdoodle recipe at the adorable blog Spike Bakes.

Looks like you've got a KICK ASS farmer's market! I'm loving the eggplant - what will you do with them? I've never seen mini white/yellow eggplant before.. awesome!

  2. I love these photos also...you are so talented and take great photos!

I have been going to a local farmer's market but they don't have nearly the selection you have. It's a lot of the basics...honey, syrup, corn, strawberries, etc. I keep hoping that as we get later in the season, they will have more and more.

Wish we had a farmer's market, cause we love fresh veggies and the garden didn't do this year.
