Sweet Melissa Sundays - Peach Cobbler

This week we made Sweet Melissa's peach cobbler. Yum! I like cobblers because a)they're easy, b)they're fruity, c)they are not usually sugary sweet.
This cobbler was no exception; it was simple to make, and full of nice fresh fruit. When I went shopping, I found that the peaches looked awful, so I bought apricots instead. The apricots were delicious in this recipe. This would be a great dessert for a summer dinner, or lovely for a Sunday brunch.

Please see Andrea's adorable blog, Nummy Kitchen, for the recipe. http://nummykitchen.blogspot.com/2009/06/bears-peach-cobbler-sweet-melissa.html

  9. Hi Melissa!

What a creative substitution... I never would have thought of an apricot cobbler. I had trouble finding suitable peaches as well- it took a few different market trips before I found ones good enough to use. I'm glad your cobbler came out delicious, and maybe you can try it with peaches later in the summer!

I wanted to introduce myself- my name is Joy and I'm a brand new blogger and SMS baker. I'd love for you to check out my site, and I look forward to getting to know you better during future weekly posts!

  10. Thanks Jaime!

It's lovely to meet you Joy and I look forward to baking with you. I have to tell you that on the SMS site my name is wrong; it's Michele, not Melissa. I keep forgetting to ask to have that corrected!

  11. My daughter would love apricot cobbler! Sadly, our apricot tree bloomed like crazy and then died last summer! I guess we'll have to buy them like everyone else now.

  12. Thank you for baking along with me this week :) Your cobbler looks absolutely perfect, makes me want to make it again. The apricots sound great, I'll have to give that a go next time, don't think I've ever done apricot cobbler.
