This week we baked Melissa's chocolate chip and toasted almond cookies. These cookies are fabulous--full of chocolate and nuts and without a lot of other bells and whistles that usually take away from the genius of a simple chocolate chip cookie. They hold their shape during baking, so you end up with a nice substantial cookie. Sweet Melissa herself, Melissa Murphy, hosted this week's recipe. You can see her photos and comments here, as well as get the full recipe.

ReplyDeleteHi Melissa!
ReplyDeleteYour cookies came out perfect, and I love that tray you served them on. I'm so glad you liked the recipe too! Thanks for stopping by my site, and I hope to talk to you again after next weekend's recipe!
Oh, by the way- I laughed when I read your ice cream post and you made the cookie spoons from this month's MSL... I saw them yesterday and thought, there is NO way those spoons won't break when trying to scoop up a bite of ice cream. They're super adorable, and I love the idea, but maybe only practical if you were having soft-serve! Yours came out awesome though, so I'm glad you gave it a go :)

Joy- Thank you for commenting. You are right, the spoons are for soft ice cream, though they are surprisingly sturdy!
