Aren't these the most beautiful berries? Berries are just about my favorite food. I've seen golden raspberries before but never purchased them. These were just so lovely that I couldn't resist buying them. To me, they taste quite like the red raspberries, maybe a little bit sweeter.
Those are gorgeous! I love fresh berries as well. I don't tend to buy them often because of the price. And our family of 4 can eat them in one sitting. But I'm hoping to grow some in my garden this summer.ReplyDelete
We had berries on our angel food cake Sunday along with some coolwhip, it was delicious.ReplyDelete
Kristy- We are fortunate in that a lot of the berries we get here are locally grown, so not that expensive. There are strawberry farms all around here. Strawberry season will be here soon!ReplyDelete
Sandy- It sounds like you had a really nice birthday celebration! Cheryl is such a great hostess!
Marisa loves raspberries. I've never tried the golden ones. If they are sweeter, I bet they are awesome. We did have berries this weekend and Phil actually tried each of them. He has never liked berries but since Marisa was eating them, he thought he would try them again after all these years. He didn't like any of them though. It's the texture.ReplyDelete
Is Marisa over her berry allergy? It's a shame that Phil doesn't like berries as they are so healthy.ReplyDelete
Yes, she is. Isn't that great? Once she was out of diapers, the berry rash stopped. And it is a good thing because she LOVES berries. Phil has never liked berries for as long as I've known him which is 27 years. Do you remember if he ever ate them as a child? I was so surprized that he tried them again after all these years.ReplyDelete
That is good news! I thought he used to eat strawberries. Growing up, we were not much of a berry family. We had lots of fruit, but mainly melons, nectarines, plums, grapes, cherries, things like that. I didn't really start eating raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries until we moved out here.ReplyDelete
I love berries too! I can't wait for spring/summer when its berries all the time.ReplyDelete
pinkstripes - I can't wait to see your delicious berry creations!ReplyDelete
oooooooooh! I will have to check and see if we get them here! they look awesome :)ReplyDelete
I hope you do! I'd love to see your photographs of them.ReplyDelete
