Bitter melon - surreal and gorgeous

Isn't the inside of this bitter melon beautiful? Bright orange-red seeds against pale yellow flesh.
I cooked the melon by boiling it in salted water and it was still too bitter for me to really enjoy. It is definitely an aquired taste.
